2025 Favs: BOOKS📚
Hey Stranger,
When I was in middle and high school, I would try to read the same number of books as the age I was turning that year. I was a voracious reader, and my age was a smaller number, so that felt easy to me at the time.
My reading stagnated in college, and since then I’ve only been reading one or two books a year, if that.
But 2025 has included a reading comeback for yours truly! I didn’t force myself to finish any books, or to read stuff that felt too intimidating. I let myself read comics, graphic novels, children’s books, and super short books, and that has helped reading feel more fun and free, which is how I like it!
I don’t think I quite read 27 books this year, but I was close. And when I did read, I really enjoyed it, and that matters more.
ANYWAY. I drew tiny versions of the covers of my seven favorite books of the year and wrote my abbreviated thoughts.
This year’s categories are fiction, graphic novels, bite-sized reads (under 15 min front to back), and nonfiction, since those seem to be the main things I read this year.
Hope you enjoy and maybe pick one of these up from your library!
Let me know if you like this — I’m thinking of maybe doing the same things for my favorite albums of the year!

If I don’t see you again before the clock strikes midnight this Wednesday, Happy New Year! I aspire to create even more stuff this year, and I am thrilled to take you along for the ride.
Thanks so much for being here. I appreciate you and wish you a happy, healthy, and safe year.
Love!
